HOW THESTORY BEGAN

Angus & Oink began over 7 years ago after founders Scott & Malissa had spent almost a decade travelling the world with work and living and working in the Americas and Middle East. Whilst based overseas, the foodie couple took the opportunity to travel as much as they could, usually with one thing on their minds – the flavours and food of the country they were visiting.

Bringing people together

The flavours colours and textures of food, and the passionate people behind each culture were the true inspiration. It is those smells, spices and stories which invoke powerful memories of our journey living and travelling abroad, from Mexico to Brazil, Bolivia to Louisiana, Peru,Venezuela, Trinidad & Argentina too, we have amazing food experiences to share with our customers.

We have been lucky to participate in the amazing experience of competition BBQ, including at the Jack Daniels World Championship in the USA back in 2018. Being part of that community allowed us to meet so many like-minded teams and people from around the world, who are now friends for life. From England, Slovakia, Italy, USA to Australia.

We have been lucky to travel and are committed to educating ourselves and our customers on food cultures from around the world.

We strive to produce the best tasting authentic spice blends, made from sustainable sources and premium quality ingredients.

SUSTAINABILITY

We constantly work with our suppliers to make improvements wherever we can, and right now we are trying to switch to PET-R which contains up to 50% of re-cycled material.

Our move to Deeside Activity Park in Aberdeenshire in 2019 enabled us to offset some of our carbon footprint by working within an energy efficient environment with solar and bio-mass fuel contributing and optimising our energy footprint.

Our spice, sugar, salt and herb sourcing, where possible, is from the UK supply chain.

ALL AROUND THE WORLD

Since 2015 we have been delivering our quality seasonings and sauces across the UK and Ireland, and for the last 2 years we have been exporting further afield to Australia, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong, Lithuania and The Netherlands.

We have created bespoke seasonings and sauces for restaurant groups, shops and brands. Our NPD process uses our extensive experience and testing to create the product flavour profiles your customers want.

From Nashville Hot Chicken seasoning to South African Braai or Katsu Curry, we have the team to make authentic flavours a reality.
